Last week, Russia successfully tested its 'Brahmastra'. Its name is the RS-28 Sarmat missile. It is the deadliest intercontinental ballistic missile ever. Because of its two features, people from America to Europe are worried.

First, this missile can attack at a stormy speed of 25,000 kilometers per hour. That is, it will hardly take 6 minutes to reach from Russia to London.

Secondly, it can launch a nuclear attack on 10 targets in different directions simultaneously. Because of this, no anti-missile defense system can stop it.

Named RS-28 Sarmat in honor of nomadic tribes

Nomadic tribes called the Sarmat used to live in parts of southern Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan. These people were known for their horse riding and fighting ability. In the 5th century, on the strength of their military power, they captured the Ural Mountains and the area around the Don River. In honor of this tribe, Russia has named its missile Sarmat. This missile of Europe and NATO country Russia is called Satan.

18 thousand km range, simultaneous target on 10 targets

This is the deadliest hypersonic missile ever made by Russia. The range of this missile with three-stage liquid fuel is 18,000 km. According to Russian media, this missile can carry a payload of up to ten tonnes with it.

It can carry 10 large warheads, 16 small warheads, and a hypersonic glide vehicle. This is the first missile capable of carrying a hypersonic glide vehicle. Along with giving high speed to the hypersonic glide vehicle missile, it will also protect from the THAAD defense system of America.

Why is RS 28 Sarmat the most dangerous missile in the world?

Russia has developed a liquid-fueled ICBM missile after about 30 years. Its design has been made by Make Rocket Design Bureau. Its most special and dangerous thing is having 10 MIRVs. MIRV stands for Multiple Independently Targetable Re-entry Vehicles. Understand the whole process of this missile like this.

The RS-28 Sarmat missile enters the atmosphere carrying 10 MIRVs from Russia. There these MIRVs are launched and can attack 10 different targets simultaneously. Their speed is so fast that it is very difficult to stop them with the anti-missile system.

Russia is preparing to make 46 RS-28 missiles. Russia calls these missiles a gift for NATO. An RS-28 missile can destroy US states like Vermont, Rhode Island, and Maryland at one go through 10 MIRVs.

What is the history of Russia's RS-28 Sarmat missile?

The SS-18 Satan was the biggest and most dangerous missile of Soviet Russia during the Cold War. Russia had been preparing for its next-generation missile for a long time. It made the RS-28 Sarmat missile in 2011. In December 2017, due to some technical glitches in the launch system of the missile, its test fire was postponed for a few days.

Russia conducted its first successful test in April 2022 during the Ukraine war. After this, its second successful test was done on 19 November 2022. It is believed that 5 tests will be done before being included in the Russian army. Colonel General of Russia Sergei Karakeev described this missile test as part of Russia's military exercise.

What did Putin say about the RS-18 missile?

In 2018, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that we have developed a nuclear missile that can hit anywhere in the world. Putin claims that even American systems in Europe and Asia cannot stop this Russian missile.

Putin bluntly said that if anyone unleashes a nuclear weapon against Russia, Russia will immediately retaliate with double the force. Significantly, China and America are also trying to make such missiles, which can attack the whole world.
