The caste system is thousands of years old
Indian-American Seattle City Council member Kshama Sawant said, "The fight against caste discrimination is closely linked to the fight against all forms of oppression." The Dalit community is at the lowest rung of the Indian Hindu caste system and is considered untouchable.
