Shah's first meeting with farmers: Amit Shah called farmers to meet at 7 pm; Protestors withdrew from the streets after 4 hours

There has been a major development among the Bharat Bandh of farmers. Home Minister Amit Shah has called the farmers to meet at 7 pm. Rakesh Tikait, spokesperson of the Bharatiya Kisan Union has given this information. Tikait said, "We are going to the Singhu border now, from there we will leave for a meeting with the Home Minister." Shah will speak directly to farmers for the first time. On the other hand, farmers have vacated the roads after 4 hours of chakkaajam.

 

Haryana CM meets Agriculture Minister

The farmers are also to have a sixth-round meeting with the government on Wednesday. Earlier today, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar visited Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar in Delhi today. On the other hand, the farmers on the border have said that they accept nothing less than the withdrawal of the law.

 

Delhi-UP highway is empty

The farmers had announced a check-in from 11 am to 3 pm. The protesters on the Delhi-UP border withdrew from the streets on time. The 2 lanes which were closed in the morning were also opened.

 

Allegations of AAP- Kejriwal under house arrest

Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) alleged that Delhi Police has put Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal under house arrest. No one is allowed to go to their home. Police have denied this charge. Police have said that Kejriwal, as the Chief Minister of Delhi, can go wherever he wants.

 

'BJP and Amarinder want to declare farmers as anti-nationals'

Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia has said that the BJP is upset with the farmers and Kejriwal. When Kejriwal went to the Singhu border to meet the farmers, the BJP became restless. Kejriwal has been under house arrest since Singh returned from the border. The BJP fears that Kejriwal will come out in support of the Bharat Bandh and talk to the farmers. BJP did not say anything to Captain Amarinder Singh, as both together want to declare farmers as anti-national.

 

Peaceful demonstration continues at Tikari border

There is a barricading of several layers between the farmers and the police at the ticking border between Haryana and Delhi. The police blocked the road by putting heavy slabs of cement on the road. The farmers are demonstrating peacefully. Policemen are seen standing several kilometers from the border. He has sticks in his hands and guns to tear gas shells.

 

'Nothing less accepted than withdrawal of law'

There is a huge crowd near the farmers' platform on the ticker border. Tractor trolleys stand for several kilometers on this highway connecting Delhi to Rohtak. Farmers are walking on both sides of the road shouting slogans for their union flag. All the farmers we talked to say that they will not accept anything less than the cancellation of all three laws.

 

'Government should give in writing, only then will you agree'

Farmer organizations protesting on the Ghazipur-Ghaziabad (Delhi-UP) border said that if the government can make laws, then it can also withdraw. The government should work closely with farmer organizations and experts. We will give up the pursuit only when we get confidence in writing on our demands.
