Shamshera Trailer: The double role of 'Shamshera' was revealed, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in the role of father and son

Ranbir Kapoor, who is returning to the big screen with his new film 'Shamshera' after four years of the release of 'Sanju', will be seen in a double role this time. The trailer of the film was released in Mumbai on Friday and as soon as Ranbir Kapoor appeared on the screen in the last scene of the trailer, the people in the hall welcomed the revelation with whistling and applause. Ranbir Kapoor is also very excited about his first double role. He says that the skill of a director and the confidence of a producer has been what drive me to give my all for this character.

 

Arjun Kapoor's character is that of a dacoit in the film 'Shamshera'. It is seen in the trailer that this dacoit is sometimes seen with long hair and a beard and sometimes without a beard. In the trailer, Shamshera is seen robbing the rich. People like Dhannasetho's plea in front of the British officer and then the brutal police officer Shuddh Singh to take the initiative to crack down on Shamshera, but the highlight point of the trailer comes at the end of it. When the curtain rises that Ranbir Kapoor has a double role in the film.

 

Ranbir Kapoor is very excited about his characters in director Karan Malhotra's film 'Shamshera', which tells the story of Kaza, a village settled in 19th century India. He says, 'The trust of the film's producer Aditya Chopra and director Karan Malhotra inspired me to do this character. It was not easy to do both these characters and then keep this secret hidden for so many days. I am thankful to the entire team associated with the film, who have taken this film to the end with hard work day and night.

 

Ranbir says, 'If someone asks me my wish today, I would only say that I wish my father was alive to see this film. He was always careful about my films, about my characters. He also used to criticize them honestly. Whether he liked my film or not, he didn't hide any feelings about it. That's why I am sad today that he will not be able to watch this film. However, I am also glad that I got an opportunity to do such a film and I hope wherever he is, he will be watching me and feeling proud of me.

 

Amidst the growing dominance of South Indian films in the Hindi film market, Ranbir Kapoor says, 'Shamshera' is one of my endeavors to interact with audiences across the country. I want to move forward as an actor and a star and the film 'Shamshera' is a meaningful step in this direction. Everyone aspires to make films for a huge audience and we all want to tell stories that can connect and rejoice with different generations of audiences. I don't know how people will accept me as such a character but I am very excited that I got an opportunity to do such a character.

 

The story of the film 'Shamshera', which is going to be released in Tamil and Telugu apart from Hindi on July 22, is set in the background of a fictional town named Kaza. The time is before the first war of independence and a dacoit named Shamshera comes out against the British. He aims to take out the tribals whom he has kept as slaves from the clutches of the cruel British officer Shuddh Singh of the area. In this struggle of Shamshera, who came out to protect her society, she is supported by beauty of the area, whose character Vani Kapoor is playing in the film.
