United Nations Secretary-General invoked Article 99

According to media reports, Guterres has sent a letter to the President of the UNSC, in which he said that the conflict has caused catastrophic human suffering and human destruction in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territory. The UN chief has also highlighted the plight of the citizens of Gaza, who are facing grave danger. Guterres has alleged that there is no effective protection for civilians in Gaza and no one is safe.

Aid supplies were badly affected
Aid supplies to southern Gaza have been badly hit in the latest conflict. The UN humanitarian aid office said, in the last three days, flour and drinking water could only be delivered to areas near Rafah on Egypt's southern border because Israeli forces have closed the roads. Fuel-medical supplies at Al-Aqsa Hospital have reached 'minimum levels'.
