In Chandigarh too, a case like the Shraddha Walker murder case has come to the fore. An already married Muslim youth living in a rented house in the city's Burail trapped a Hindu girl living with her family in the neighborhood in the trap of his love. For almost two years he hid from the girl to that he was married. When the girl came to know that he was married, she distanced herself from the young man. This matter angered the Muslim youth and he entered the girl's house and strangled her to death. There is also a suspicion of rape before the murder. The accused has been identified as 25-year-old Mohammad Shariq, a resident of Bela village in the Madhubani district of Bihar.
Whereas, the name of the deceased was Mamta and she was 18 years old. Mamta was originally a resident of the village Malahpur, tehsil Beniganj, district Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh. Based on the complaint of the girl's mother Champa, the police arrested the accused from Sector 45. A bag full of clothes has also been recovered from him. Police say that Mohammad Shariq was trying to escape. The police produced the accused in the court from where he has been sent on police remand for two days.
Police say that there is a possibility of rape of the girl before the murder. For this, samples of both have been sent to the forensic lab. If this is confirmed, the section on rape will also be added.
In the complaint given to the police, the mother of the deceased Champa told that Mamta was alone at home on Monday. The mother had gone to work, while the younger brother had gone to school. At the same time, the accused entered his house and killed the daughter by strangulation. When Champa returned home in the evening, the daughter was lying unconscious on the bed. His body had turned blue. His hair was disheveled and blood was coming out of his ear. There were scratch marks on his neck. He immediately informed the police.
The girl had kept her distance for six months
The girl's mother Champa told the police that Mamta came to know that the accused was already married about six months ago. After this, he distanced himself from Mohammad Shariq. On this, the young man started following her, due to which Mamta started getting very upset. About a month and a half ago, the girl told her mother about the accused Sharik. Champa also asked the accused Shariq to stay away from his daughter. After that, he started living in another area. Mamta did not even talk to him on the phone. Shareek was angry because of this.
The accused used to work in food delivery
According to the police, Mohammad Shariq does a food delivery job and has come to Chandigarh only three years back. He has been living in a rented house in Burail for almost two and a half years. Mamta was living in her neighborhood with her family. During this, both of them met. Then both of them became friends, which later turned into love.
Reiki was done a week ago, the girl refused to meet
Complainant Champa told the police that the accused had come to his house a week ago to do Reiki. During this, she went to work and her daughter Mamta was alone at home. Mamta had refused to meet him despite his repeated requests.
