There has been a big disclosure in the Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala murder case. After Canada, the strings of this high-profile murder are now being linked to Pakistan as well. According to sources, the Special Cell of Delhi Police has come to know during the interrogation of the accused that the weapons used in the murder of Moosewala were supplied to them from across the border.
The Special Cell of Delhi Police has recently arrested three people, including two shooters, from Kutch, Gujarat in connection with the murder of Moosewala. The accused have been identified as Priyavrat alias Fauji (26), a resident of Sonipat in Haryana, Kashish (24) of Jhajjar district of the state, and Keshav Kumar (29), a resident of Bathinda in Punjab.
Special CP of Special Cell H.G.S. Dhaliwal had told in a press conference on Monday that his module head, including the two main shooters involved in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case, has been arrested. The Special Cell team arrested him on June 19. The Special Cell has received 8 High Explosive Grenades along with an Under Barrel Grenade Launcher on the target of the shooters. This grenade launcher can also be mounted on the AK-47. 9 electronic detonators are mated to one assault rifle with 20 rounds. Apart from this, 3 pistols and 36 rounds of bullets have been found. He had kept these weapons hidden in a village in Haryana.
The Special Cell told that these shooters had made full preparations to kill Moosewala. For this, he had kept grenades, detonators along with lethal weapons. These shooters had intended that if the guns did not work, they would have used grenades if needed.
It is worth mentioning that Sidhu Moosewala, who had joined Congress in December last year, was gunned down on May 29 in Punjab's Mansa by unidentified assailants in the middle of the road. The incident happened a day after the Punjab Police cut their security along with 424 others. Police have recovered 30 empty cartridges of bullets from the spot. The attackers were allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
