The incidents of stone pelting in the Vande Bharat Express train in the country are not taking the name of stopping. Stones were pelted at the train on Wednesday even before it was flagged off in Visakhapatnam. On January 19, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was about to dedicate it to the country.
According to DRM, the incident took place during maintenance near Kanchrapalem. The windshield of a coach of the Vande Bharat Express was damaged. A case has been registered in the matter and further investigation is on.
RPF identified some suspects
Railway officer Anoop Kumar Satpathy told that the incident took place at 6:30 pm on Wednesday. This is very unfortunate. Two window panes were completely shattered and will be replaced soon. He further said that some suspects have been identified. RPF is keeping an eye on them. CCTV footage will be scrutinized in the case and strict action will be taken against the culprits.
PM Modi was to show the green flag on January 19
On January 19 from Secunderabad railway station, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was about to dedicate this train to the nation by showing the green flag. This train will run between Secunderabad to Visakhapatnam. During this, it will stop at Warangal, Khammam, Vijayawada, and Rajahmundry.
Stones were pelted thrice in a week on Vande Bharat in Bengal
Stones were pelted at the Vande Bharat train in West Bengal on Sunday. This was the third incident of stone pelting on the train in a week. According to media reports, stones were pelted at the Vande Bharat C14 compartment near Barosai railway station. Due to this, the glass of the windows was broken. Due to this incident, the train had to be stopped at Bolpur station for a long time. Fortunately, no passenger was hurt in this stone pelting.
Earlier, on the night of January 2, there was stone pelting on Vande Bharat in Malda. The stone-pelting took place near the Kumarganj railway station. On January 3, there was stone pelting on the Howrah to New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat train at Kishanganj.
