Every 8th person dies from bacteria
Research has said that bacterial infections are becoming fatal with time. It has become the second biggest cause of death in the world after heart disease. Because of these, 13% of the world's population lost their lives in 2019. That is, one out of every 8 people has died due to infection. 33 bacteria and 11 infections caused by them are responsible for this.
These 5 bacteria killed in India
According to the report, 5 bacteria have killed the most in India. Their names are E. coli, S. Pneumonia (S. pneumonia), K. pneumonia (K. pneumonia), S. aureus (S. aureus), and A. Baumannii (A. baumannii). Only E. Coli has caused 1 lakh 60 thousand deaths in the country. S in the world aureus and E. coli caused 864,000 deaths, which is more than the number of deaths due to HIV/AIDS.
Bacteria are responsible for these diseases
E. coli: This is a family of bacteria. Some of these spread infection by staying in the stomach. Due to this many times the kidney of the infected gets damaged and the risk of death increases.
s. Pneumonia: Streptococcus pneumonia bacteria cause ear and blood infections. Children are often affected by this. The infection affects the brain and windpipe.
