The person who broke the statue of Maharaja Ranjit Singh in Pakistan got bail, got a hammer from the possession

A Pakistani court on Friday granted bail to an accused of vandalizing the statue of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. The accused of breaking the idol has been identified as Rizwan. During the hearing, the court was told that during the investigation, the police had recovered a hammer from his possession. According to a report in 'Samma TV', the accused was arrested on Tuesday.

 

Let us tell you that this is the third incident of idol breaking in Pakistan in recent years. Earlier in December 2020, the statue of Ranjit Singh was vandalized. On June 27, 2019, also the statue of this great ruler was vandalized. India strongly opposed the demolition of the statue of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee chief Manjinder Singh Sirsa also condemned the matter.

 

He had alleged that the sentiments of Sikhs had been hurt by this. After the incident, it was told that the person who carried out this incident is associated with the banned radical organization Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP). Now Prime Minister Imran Khan's minister has also expressed anger over this incident. After this incident, the Minister of Information and Broadcasting of Pakistan, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, has expressed his anger by retweeting a video of a fundamentalist demolishing the statue. He wrote that this bunch of shameful, illiterate is dangerous for the image of Pakistan in the world.

 

It was told that the riotous element first broke the hand of the statue of Maharaja Ranjit Singh and then pushed it down from the horse itself. Because of this, she broke down badly. Two men belonging to the Tehreek-e-Labbaik had attacked the statue earlier as well, just two months after it was installed. Both of them were also arrested by the police.
