This pain is not only mine alone, this pain is of every Hindu and every minority in Bangladesh at this time. Makhan Sarkar, a resident of Radhunathpur in Narayanganj district of Bangladesh, told these things over the phone. He said, save us. Sarkar said, since the situation has worsened, we are being subjected to various kinds of atrocities. The rioters looted whatever they could from our houses. Whatever they could not take, they set it on fire. Makhan said, as soon as we were attacked, we informed the police. From there, we only got assurances of help.
Fundamental rights should be protected
Makhan said I want to appeal to the global leaders on behalf of the Hindus and minorities of Bangladesh to protect our fundamental rights. We were born and brought up here, but today we are being treated as second-class citizens. Our lives and honor should be protected. Homes, temples, and places of worship are being destroyed. Homes are being looted and set on fire.
