Thalapathy Vijay is in the news these days for his personal life. First, his wife Sangeeta filed for divorce from Vijay, accusing him of infidelity.
Thalapathy Vijay was being linked to actress Trisha Krishnan, and amid the divorce rumors, their seemingly unrelated appearance together at an event became a topic of discussion. He was subjected to trolling. Now, filmmaker Vikram Bhatt has shared a lengthy post supporting the rumored couple.
Director speaks on Vijay-Trisha's relationship.
Vikram Bhatt wrote a lengthy note on his Instagram account, discussing Trisha and Vijay's relationship. He wrote, "There's a lot of buzz surrounding Vijay and Trisha Krishnan's personal life. I don't know if the rumors circulating online are true. But if they are, I want to say a few things."
Vikram explained the importance of freedom.
Vikram Bhatt supported Vijay and Trisha, citing his own incident. He wrote, "Recently going to jail has made me understand the value of freedom. The desire for a cup of tea that doesn't arrive. What it's like to search for a tube of toothpaste. What it's like to wait until 7 p.m."
Vikram Bhatt said about divorce, "But there's a worse prison. It's the prison of the human soul. The prison of happiness. When two people remain trapped in a relationship that has outlived its time, but society insists it must continue, that too is a prison."
Supported Vijay and Trisha
Vikram Bhatt further said, "I've been on both sides of this equation. I've been fooled by someone and I've been fooled. In other words, I've been there. Done that. Got the T-shirt. The human heart can be wrong. It goes where it finds happiness. It came together to find happiness and is moving away to find happiness."
Vikram liked this thing about Vijay and Trisha.
The director said, "As for me, I would walk out of a relationship without love. I would probably walk out with money. I would probably walk out with property, but most importantly, I would walk out with my dignity. I find something to admire in Vijay and Trisha. Dignity lies in not pretending it doesn't exist. Dignity lies in not hiding love as if it were a crime."
We all know how people live other lives. Men who maintain anonymous profiles on dating sites. Men who delete their messages before they get home. Men who spend afternoons with women they never respect in public. Yet these same people often pass judgment on others. Vikram Bhatt said that Vijay and Trisha have the right to live and love. He said that their films belong to us, not their personal lives.
