Ever since the matter of mixing fat in the famous laddu of Tirupati Balaji temple has come to light, a new arrangement has started regarding the prasad in the temples. Due to Navratri starting on Thursday, prasad made in the market will not be offered in the three temples of Ghaziabad.
Among these, a board regarding the ban on market prasad was put up in Dudheshwarnath temple on Monday itself. On Wednesday, the offering of market prasad has also been banned in the Devi temple located at Delhi Gate and Hanuman temple located in Sanjay Nagar. For the last few days, people have been avoiding outside prasad offered to the idols of gods.
No prasad made from the market will be offered as bhog
People are avoiding offering and eating prasad made from the market. In this sequence, after the request made by many devotees, Shri Hanuman Mandir Seva Trust located in Sanjay Nagar in Ghaziabad has decided that from the first Navratri i.e. October 3, no prasad made from the market will be offered as bhog to all the idols installed in the Hanuman temple.

Giving this information, Chief Trustee VK Agarwal said that during Navratri and thereafter, only jaggery, gram, fruits, coconut, sugar candy, and petha will be offered as prasad to the idols. Apart from this, devotees who bring prasad from their homes like kheer, puri, halwa, food, or any other type of food can also be offered as prasad.
After the first Navratri, an appeal was been made not to bring any sweets bought from the market like laddu, guldana, barfi etc. to Hanuman Temple Sanjay Nagar. A board related to this appeal has also been put up at the entrance of the temple.
A ban has been imposed on offering market-made prasad in the temple. Devotees are also following this. Most of the devotees are offering jaggery, gram, and coconut in the puja.
