Vaibhav Suryavanshi was 10 years old at the time. His father, Sanjeev, had decided that he wanted to make his son a cricketer. To fulfill this dream, he sold his land, but he did not know that within three years, his son would fulfill his dream. In the IPL auction, 13-year-old Vaibhav was bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 1.10 crore. In the history of the IPL, Vaibhav became the youngest cricketer to join any team.

Sanjeev, who sold his cultivable land in Motipur village, 15 km from Samastipur, has no words after his son was picked by Rajasthan. He says that Vaibhav is no longer his son but the son of the entire Bihar. According to Sanjeev, his son worked hard at eight and succeeded in the district's Under-16 trials. He took his son to Samastipur for coaching, but he had to return. After this, he sold his land.

Sanjeev says that the situation has not improved yet. Regarding the controversy regarding Vaibhav's age, Sanjeev says that when he was eight and a half years old, the BCCI tested his bones. He says that he is not afraid of anyone in this regard. We can go to any test in the future. Vaibhav's age is said to be 15. According to Sanjeev, Rajasthan had called Vaibhav for trials in Nagpur.

In the IPL auction, 13-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi was bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 1.10 crore. The base price of this player was Rs 30 lakh and he was sold for almost four times more than his base price. He became the youngest player to be sold in IPL auction history. Vaibhav from Bihar created history as the youngest player shortlisted for the IPL auction at just 13 years and 242 days. Now he has also got a team. There was a fight between Rajasthan and Delhi Capitals for Vaibhav.

Vaibhav has made a splash in domestic cricket.

Vaibhav has made a lot of splash in the domestic circuit. This left-handed batsman has performed brilliantly with his bat at a very young age. After making his first-class debut for Bihar in January 2024, Suryavanshi caught everyone's attention with a brilliant century during the September India U19 vs Australia U19 Youth Test Series. Suryavanshi is all set to represent India in the upcoming Under-19 Asia Cup.

Recently, a two-match unofficial Test series was played between the Under-19 teams of India and Australia. In this, the son of Bihar scored a century in just 58 balls. Now he is just one place behind England batsman Moeen Ali. He scored a century in 56 balls in Under-19 in 2005. With this, Vaibhav has set the record for the fastest century by an Indian in Under-19 Tests. The young player hit 14 fours and four centuries during his strong innings. He was run out after scoring 104 runs in just 62 balls.
