Posted on 20th May 2020 by rohit kumar

US President Donald Trump has asked the World Health Organization (WHO) to prove in 30 days that it is not influenced by China. Failing to do so, Trump has warned to rethink America's membership in the WHO and to permanently stop funding the organization. Trump had on April 14 stopped up to $ 500 million in annual aid to the WHO. In a 4-page letter to WHO Director General Dr. Tedros, Trump said, "It is clear that you and your organization have repeatedly taken the wrong steps in dealing with epidemics that have cost the world dearly." The only way in front of the WHO is whether he can actually show that he is not influenced by China. My administration has already started discussing with you how to improve the organization. But fast action is needed. We do not have time to raise zeal. ”Meanwhile, an influential MP has introduced a bill in Congress to help American companies bring their manufacturing plants back from China to their country. It is believed that a large number of American companies will exit China in the coming days due to the corona virus epidemic. The Bill 'Bring American Company Home Act' introduced by US lawmaker Mark Green calls for covering the entire cost of bringing these companies back and the import duty on China imports.

WHO bowed to the demand of investigation

Geneva (agency): The World Health Organization (WHO) investigated its role in combating the corona virus infection, with most member countries accepting the demand on Monday. WHO Director General Dr. Tedros said that he would start an independent investigation of the role of WHO as soon as possible, seeing the appropriate time. It is clear that alliances of African, European and other countries are demanding this. The aim is to review the lessons learned from the coordination of international efforts by WHO to prevent some of the controversial issues, such as the site of origin of the virus.
