Particularly, the border districts of the state, from West Champaran, East Champaran to Katihar and Purnea, are expected to receive very heavy rainfall.

On Tuesday, the sequence of ups and downs in the weather will continue throughout the day. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of a cloudy sky and light to heavy rain in the next five days. There are chances of strong winds. On Monday, the sky remained cloudy throughout the day amidst light sunshine. Today the maximum temperature will be 34 degrees and the minimum will be 27 degrees.

In Punjab, even in August, the wet weather of monsoon continues. It has been raining continuously in August, while the Meteorological Department has predicted less than normal rainfall for this month. Normal to moderate rainfall occurred in several districts of Punjab from late Sunday night till Monday morning.

 

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain clear till August 9. During this time people may have to bear the humid heat. From August 10, the Western Disturbance between Monsoon is becoming active again, due to which light to moderate rain and thundershowers may occur at a few places in many districts of Punjab till August 13.

 

Clouds will rain in Himachal

According to the latest forecast issued by the Meteorological Department, heavy rain warning has been issued on August 10, 11, and 12. During this, there is a possibility of disruption of essential services like traffic, drinking water, and electricity supply in some places. On August 8 and 9, rain is expected in many places in the state.

 

Due to devastation caused by floods, rains, and landslides, 212 roads including one NH in the state are closed for traffic. Due to floods, landslides, and cloud bursts in the state, the loss assessment has so far reached 6703.60 crores.

 

Scorching heat in Jammu and Kashmir

The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in some places during the next 24 hours.
