Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced a compensation of Rs 2-2 lakh without any discrimination to the family of those who died in post-election violence in West Bengal. At the same time, after this announcement, he said that 16 people have died in the violence when the responsibility of law and order was with the Election Commission. Half of it was TMC and half of BJP. Were associated with a united front.

Taking a dig at the BJP, CM Mamata Banerjee said that BJP leaders are roaming here and provoking people. It has not been 24 hours since the formation of the new government, they are sending letters, their team is coming and their leaders are coming here. They are not ready to accept the mandate. I appeal to them to accept the mandate of the people.

Let me tell you that after the election results in Bengal on May 2, there was violence in many places. In this case, the Union Home Ministry has summoned a report from the state government. But the state government has not yet sent the report.

Union Home Ministry constitutes a team for investigation

The Union Home Ministry has formed a four-member team to investigate the causes of the alleged violence in West Bengal after the elections and take stock of the ground situation in the state. Officials said on Thursday (May 6) that the team had reached West Bengal under the leadership of an additional secretary of the ministry. Explain that the Union Home Ministry on Wednesday (May 5) had asked the West Bengal government to submit a detailed report of post-election violence in the state and take necessary steps to prevent such incidents without wasting time.
