This is the eternal tradition: when two prominent practitioners from different sects met, not only did their hearts rejoice, but their hearts connected so deeply that they became emotional upon seeing each other. Their eyes welled up with tears, and happiness seemed to shine through. They embraced as if two brothers separated for years.
Guru Sharananand arrived to inquire about Saint Premanand's well-being, embraced him, and asked how he was.
This was the scene at the Sri Radha Kelikunj Ashram. Karnshi Peethadheeshwar Guru Sharananand arrived at around 8 a.m. to meet Saint Premanand and inquire about his health. Guru Sharananand, a practitioner of the Udasiya sect, and Saint Premanand, a practitioner of the Radhavallabhi sect of the Vaishnav sect, embraced each other, making it seem as if two long-lost brothers had been moved by the embrace. Upon hearing the news of Guru Sharananand's arrival, Saint Premanand, who had arrived at the door to greet him, prostrated before him. Guru Sharananand lifted him up with his own hands and embraced him with a brotherly affection.
Saint Premanand washed his feet, applied sandalwood paste, and garlanded him, saying, "My joy knows no bounds."
Saint Premanand urged Guru Sharananand to sit on his seat, then sat down on the ground in front of him and requested him to wash his feet. Guru Sharananand performs foot worship only once a year on Guru Purnima. He, too, abandoned his vow and accepted Saint Premanand's request and agreed to wash his feet. Suddenly, Saint Premanand shouted, "Come, let my feet be washed..." Hearing this, the saints of the ashram rushed to bring water in plates and pots. Saint Premanand washed Guru Sharananand's feet, applied sandalwood paste, garlanded him, and then performed aarti for Guru Sharananand.
Guru Sharananand said this:
Guru Sharananand said, "You are awakening the youth towards Sanatan Dharma. May you continue to live long and bless your devotees." Gurusharanand said that one of my saints asked him to donate his kidney, but I said that he will not accept the kidney at any cost. If you ask once, one lakh kidneys will come. Premananda said that as long as Shriji wishes, we will have to manage with these kidneys.
After this, Saint Premananda appealed to the saints of the ashram to visit Gurusharanand. When Gurusharanand asked for permission to go, Saint Premananda said that it is almost impossible to give permission to return. Ever since I heard that you are coming to the ashram, there has been no limit to my happiness.
