The wholesale inflation rate in India has also been more than the percentage in June. According to the All India Wholesale Price Index, the inflation rate in June has been 15.18% (provisional).

There has been a slight decline in the wholesale inflation rate in June as compared to May. According to the data released by the government, it was 15.88 percent in May.

Responding to the continued increase in inflation, the government has said that in June 2022, the rise in mineral oil, food articles, crude petroleum and natural gas, basic metals, chemicals, chemical products, and food-related products continues.

This is the reason that there has not been any relief from inflation in June this year as compared to June last year.
