रिलायंस ग्रुप के चेयरमैन अनिल अंबानी YES बैंक के प्रमोटर राणा कपूर और अन्य के खिलाफ मनी-लॉन्ड्रिंग जांच के सिलसिले में मुंबई में प्रवर्तन निदेशालय के सामने पेश हुए। पूछताछ के दौरान, एजेंसी 60 वर्षीय व्यवसायी के खिलाफ धन शोधन निवारण अधिनियम (पीएमएलए) के तहत बयान दर्ज करेगी। आरोपों के अनुसार, अंबानी की समूह की कंपनियों ने नकदी-बैंक से 12,800 करोड़ रुपये का ऋण लिया।
ईडी बैंक के सभी बड़े कर्जदारों और राणा कपूर के कार्यकाल के दौरान मंजूर किए गए ऋणों पर गौर कर रहा है। अनिल अंबानी से पूछताछ करके, ईडी ऋणों को अस्वीकार करने की प्रक्रिया को समझना चाहता है क्योंकि रिलायंस समूह ने अपने ऋणों के एक महत्वपूर्ण हिस्से के लिए जिम्मेदार है।
कल, डीएचएफएल के प्रमोटर धीरज वधावन और कपिल वधावन ने ईडी के सामने पेश होने से इनकार कर दिया ताकि कोरोनोवायरस के कारण स्वास्थ्य जोखिम का हवाला दिया जा सके। प्रवर्तकों ने एजेंसी को बताया कि देश में वर्तमान परिदृश्य को देखते हुए, स्वास्थ्य एक सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता थी। ईडी यस बैंक संकट में डीएचएफएल की भूमिका की जांच कर रहा है। एजेंसी डीएचएफएल और यस बैंक के बीच 3,700 करोड़ रुपये के लेनदेन को देख रही है। जांच एजेंसियों ने यस बैंक के संस्थापक राणा कपूर और परिवार की फर्मों को डीएचएफएल द्वारा 600 करोड़ रुपये का घूस देने का आरोप लगाया है।
रिलायंस समूह और डीएचएफएल के अलावा, एजेंसी एस्सेल ग्रुप और नरेश गोयल के अब-विचलित जेट एयरवेज सहित 16 अन्य कॉर्पोरेट घरानों के खिलाफ मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग के आरोपों की जांच कर रही है। जबकि एस्सेल समूह के सुभाष चंद्र ने जांच में शामिल नहीं होने के लिए अपनी राज्यसभा की प्रतिबद्धता का हवाला दिया, गोयल ने कहा कि उन्हें बीमार रिश्तेदार में शामिल होना था।
ईडी के अलावा, केंद्रीय जांच ब्यूरो (CBI) ने भी YES बैंक के संस्थापक राणा कपूर के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज किया था। सीबीआई द्वारा आईपीसी की धारा 120 बी और 420 (धोखाधड़ी) और पीसी एक्ट, 1988 की धारा 7, 11 और 12 के तहत मामला दर्ज किया गया था। इस बीच, संकटग्रस्त निजी क्षेत्र के ऋणदाता यस बैंक पर आरबीआई की रोक हटा दी गई है। यस बैंक के ग्राहक अब एटीएम से पैसे निकाल सकते हैं और अन्य बैंकिंग सेवाओं तक पहुँच सकते हैं।
