1200 extra buses will run for Mahakumbh on Mahashivratri, the government decided in view of the crowd

Given the availability of a large number of passengers for the last phase of Maha Kumbh Mela, 1200 additional rural buses will be run. All have been allocated area-wise so that the devotees can get better arrangements.

 

Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh said that 1200 buses have been kept in reserve for the Mahashivratri bath from 20 to 28 February, so that the visiting devotees do not face any inconvenience. Apart from this, he said that 750 shuttle buses are also running in the Sangam area. Instructions have been given to determine the duty of the officers.

 

Buses will be supplied.

Dayashankar Singh has instructed that given the estimated low number of passengers from six areas of Western Uttar Pradesh, Saharanpur, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Bareilly, Moradabad, and Aligarh, 25 buses should be sent to Prayagraj every day.

 

Similarly, buses can be supplied to the additional crowd coming from the districts of Purvanchal.

 

Apart from this, buses operated by Prayagraj, Varanasi, Azamgarh, Chitrakoot, Ayodhya, and Devipatan areas other than the fair operations should be operated only for a maximum of 300 km.

 

Faith is overpowering chaos.

Passengers were waiting on platform number three for the 14216 train Ganga Gomti Express going towards Prayagraj with faith in their hearts, feelings of reverence, and a sweet smile on their faces. Before the train arrived on the platform, the Railway Police Force was already deployed for the safety of the passengers.

 

After the train arrived, the passengers started trying to board. Some boarded through the window and some through the gate. Along with this, passengers were troubled due to the locks in many bogies, and the trains got filled within a few minutes. Passengers were seen sitting in the disabled and luggage bogies and male passengers were also seen in the women's bogie.

 

Slogans of Jai Shri Ram echoed.

When the train left at 6.25 pm, slogans of Jai Shri Ram started echoing from the bogies. Passengers boarded the train standing on the through line- Risking their lives, they started boarding the train standing on the through line between platforms one and two. Seeing this, the railway police took the passengers out of the bogies and got the bogies locked from outside.
