Given the availability of a large number of passengers for the last phase of Maha Kumbh Mela, 1200 additional rural buses will be run. All have been allocated area-wise so that the devotees can get better arrangements.
Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh said that 1200 buses have been kept in reserve for the Mahashivratri bath from 20 to 28 February, so that the visiting devotees do not face any inconvenience. Apart from this, he said that 750 shuttle buses are also running in the Sangam area. Instructions have been given to determine the duty of the officers.

Dayashankar Singh has instructed that given the estimated low number of passengers from six areas of Western Uttar Pradesh, Saharanpur, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Bareilly, Moradabad, and Aligarh, 25 buses should be sent to Prayagraj every day.
Similarly, buses can be supplied to the additional crowd coming from the districts of Purvanchal.
Apart from this, buses operated by Prayagraj, Varanasi, Azamgarh, Chitrakoot, Ayodhya, and Devipatan areas other than the fair operations should be operated only for a maximum of 300 km.
