A British company started a bus service between Delhi-London-Kolkata in 1957. A few years later, when the bus crashed, a British passenger built a double-decker bus, re-launching the Sydney-India-London bus service which lasted until 1976. At that time it was closed given the internal situation in Iran and the situation of tension between India and Pakistan.

 

 

Once again a private company in India is working in this direction. Due to which the old bus service was stopped, the old route of the bus has been changed to avoid it. Instead of Pakistan and Afghanistan, it will now take it to France via Myanmar, Thailand, China, Kyrgyzstan. A cruise will be used to cross the English Channel. Under the 'Bus to London' initiative by Adventures Overland, you can also travel to 18 countries covering a distance of about 20 thousand kilometers in 70 days.

 

The company has done route trials for three years with small vehicles: The company has also conducted route trials with small and luxury vehicles from 2017 to 2019. She was successful. But due to the Corona epidemic, progress could not be made for the last two years. To normalize the situation, there is a plan to start bus service soon.

 

The bus will cross the English channel in two hours

The bus will be taken from Calle in France to Dover in the UK via a ferry service between France and London. It will take about two hours to cross it. After this, the passengers on the bus will leave for London.

 

20 seater bus will have many state-of-the-art services

 Like the old bus, the new bus will also have 20 seats. There will be a separate cabin for each passenger. It will have facilities ranging from food and drink to sleep. For those traveling on this bus, there will be a chance to travel with all the necessary documents including a visa.

 

Delhi to Kolkata then Myanmar

Via Kolkata bus from Delhi will reach Myanmar. It will then reach London after Thailand, Laos, China, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France. Earlier, on 15 April 1957, the bus left for Kolkata with 20 passengers from London and reached Kolkata on 5 June. The bus returned to London on August 2, 1957. It passed through France, Italy, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Iran, and Pakistan before reaching India. After some time the bus crashed. It was later bought by a British traveler, Andy Stewart. It was given a double-decker form. At the same time, the route was also extended to Sydney. On October 8, 1968, the journey from Sydney to London via India was done through this. It took around 132 days for the bus to reach London.
