Adani New Deal: Gautam Adani will now acquire this company, the deal will be finalized for Rs 835 crore

The success of Gautam Adani, the world's fourth richest businessman, continues. They are making their presence felt in new sectors one after the other. He has added a new link to his list of successes. According to reports, Adani's company Adani Logistics has made an important deal for Rs 835 crore. This deal has been done to acquire Inland Container Depot (ICD) Tumb.

 

Adani Logistics, a subsidiary of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited, has said that it has entered into an agreement with Navkar Corporation for the acquisition of ICD Tumb for Rs 835 crore.

 

According to media reports, ICD Tumb is the largest in-land container depot. It has a capacity of 0.5 million or five million TEUs. The ICD is located between the strategically important Hazira port and the Nhava Sheva port.

 

Adani Logistics has said that this deal will prove to help increase the company's capacity and cargo in the future. The company has also informed that the deal includes four rail handling lines attached to Western DFC near Tumb ICD and a private freight terminal.

 

Karan Adani, CEO of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ), said that the acquisition of Tumb, one of the country's largest ICDs, will strengthen the company's plans. "This acquisition will complement our transformation strategy to become a transport utility and move us closer to our objective of providing economical door-to-door services to our customers," he added.
