The encounter with Anil Dujana proved the Yogi government's strict policy against mafias once again. In the list of 65 mafias released by the government 20 days ago, Anil Dujana was on top in the mafia of Gautam Buddha Nagar district. Dujana, who has become synonymous with terror in the West, was killed by the STF in an encounter a day before Chief Minister Yogi visited Meerut. After this action of STF, restlessness has increased among the remaining 64 mafias on the list.
The supremacy of Anil Dujana, who was included in the list of mafias issued by the government, was continuously increasing in West UP as well as Purvanchal. He was also in touch with several big mafias of Eastern UP. No one had any idea that the Meerut STF would act so soon against the mafia included in the list. On Thursday, while the Meerut police and administration were engaged in preparations for the Chief Minister's program, the STF's action justified the Yogi government's policy of destroying the mafia.

Badan Singh alias Baddo: Meerut resident Badan Singh alias Baddo has a reward of two and a half lakhs, whose arrest remains a challenge for the police. More than 40 serious cases including murder, and extortion have been registered against Baddo in many states including UP.
Udham Singh: Udham Singh is currently lodged in jail, on whom many cases including extortion, dacoity, murder, and robbery are registered in western UP.
- Yogesh Bhadaura: Yogesh Bhadaura, a resident of Bhadaura village, leads the gang D-75, which is an opponent of Udham Singh. He has about 40 cases registered against him like murder, gangster, kidnapping, and dacoity. He is lodged in Siddharth Nagar Jail.
Haji Yakub Qureshi: Former minister Yakub Qureshi is also included in the list of the mafia. Yakub Qureshi started selling lemons in the 1980s. Along with this, Yakub got involved in the business of cattle slaughter. Entered politics in 2002 and became a minister after becoming an MLA from BSP. In the year 2022, the police raided Yakub's meat factory. Where meat was being packed illegally. Yakub is currently in jail. Recently, his gang has been registered by the government, in which the names of his wife and both sons are also there.
Apart from this, Saharanpur residents Haji Iqbal, Sushil Mooch, Sanjeev Maheshwari, Dharmendra, Sharik, Vinay Tyagi alias Tinku, Amarpal alias Kalu, Baghpat residents Sunil Rathi, Anuj Barkha, Vikrant alias Vicky, Yashpal Tomar are also included in the mafia list.
