Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh has died. After Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Hamas has also confirmed his death. According to the information, Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh and his bodyguard were killed by targeting his residence in Tehran. The attack was carried out in the early hours of Wednesday. Hamas said that both died in the airstrike.

Ismail Haniya was born in 1962 in the Al-Shati refugee camp in the Gaza Strip. He served as the Prime Minister of the Palestinian Authority from 2006 to 2007. In 2017, he was made the Hamas chief instead of Khalid Meshaal.
