MUMBAI: As though it wasn’t enough that the God of cricket Sachin Tendulkar graced the music release of Adhyayan Suman’s film Heartless on Wednesday evening, Sachin gave the young actor a gift he is unlikely to ever forget.
An autographed bat which has driven Adhyayan …well, batty.
Says the amused and enthralled papa Shekhar Suman, “Addy (Adhyayan) keeps kissing the bat every ten minutes. He just can’t put it down. Very honestly, Sachin’s presence at our music release was an event that we cannot hope to better. For me no promotion no event can get bigger than this. It was Sachin’s first public event after being conferred with the Bharat Ratna.”
Father and son Suman broke into an emotional spirited song ‘Thank you, Brother’ for Sachin at the end of the evening.
Adds Adhyayan, “I idolize only two people in my life, my dad and Sachin Tendulkar. I felt numbed with joy when Sachin Sir surprised me with his autographed bat. I couldn’t stop kissing the bat.I can’t get over his presence at my music release. It’ll remain a dream that I’ll cherish forever. I’ve sent the bat to be framed in a glass box which will be with me forever.”
