In the Indian Premier League 2022, Kolkata Knight Riders registered a spectacular victory by 54 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Saturday. Andre Russell played an innings of 49 not out off 28 balls and took three wickets for 22 runs in four overs, after which he has adjudged the man of the match. In this match, a decision by Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Kane Williamson, and former cricketer Aakash Chopra found it very strange. Williamson got the last over against Andre Russell from Washington Sundar, for which Aakash Chopra has criticized him.

Sundar had given 20 runs in the first three overs, but in his last over, Russell created havoc and took KKR to a big score. Russell scored 19 runs, including three sixes, in the last over, while one run was taken by Sunil Narine, so in total, KKR scored 20 runs from this over. Akash on Star Sports said, 'Kane's captaincy, I think twice his decisions have been very awkward. To get the last over from Jagdish Inform at the Brabourne Stadium in the last match and then to get the last over from Washington Sundar in this match.

He said, 'And we are talking about Kane Williamson, who is one of the best cricketing brains. That too in front of a batsman like Andre Russell, it was like you handed a goat to the butcher. What happens when you do this, the goat's neck is cut and nothing happens.' In the last match between KKR and Sunrisers Hyderabad, Russell also scored 49 not out. Then in the last over of Jagdish Inform, Russell played four balls and scored 16 runs during this period. KKR had scored 175 then, but Sunrisers Hyderabad won that match.
