INDIA Alliance: Everything does not seem to be going well yet in I.N.D.I.A., the alliance of opposition parties. In the recent Congress Working Committee meeting held in Hyderabad, many Congress leaders have openly opposed the Aam Aadmi Party.
Along with this, the leaders have also instructed the high command not to be hasty in figuring out the formula for seat sharing of Lok Sabha.

Confident of Congress' better performance in the upcoming assembly elections in five states, some party leaders have sought to postpone seat-sharing talks with I.N.D.I.A alliance partners for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections till November.

According to news agency PTI, leaders from states where Congress is in direct competition with INDIA faction allies have asked to postpone seat sharing.
Sources said that during the two-day session of the Congress Working Committee, many leaders supported strengthening the I.N.D.I.A alliance with the Congress, but stressed that the party should have a seat-sharing arrangement with like-minded parties. I should not hurry.
Leaders warned - Congress should not suffer loss
During the two-day meeting, Sonia Gandhi called for strengthening the I.N.D.I.A alliance, while Rahul Gandhi talked about strengthening both the Congress and the opposition group. Apart from this, some leaders said that the opposition group should not be strengthened by harming the Congress.
Congress leaders attack on AAP
Sources said that during the discussions, some leaders expressed apprehension that many Aam Aadmi Party leaders would continue attacking the Congress. In the meeting, some leaders of Delhi and Punjab including former Union Minister Ajay Maken, Alka Lamba and Pratap Singh Bajwa also spoke against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
However, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge assured state leaders that any talks on seat sharing with other parties would be done only in consultation with the state units.
