Akshay did not keep his promise
Last year Akshay Kumar was badly trolled for promoting Pan Masala. The situation had reached such a stage that Akshay Kumar, surrounded from all sides, had to apologize to the fans. While sharing a post on social media, he apologized and said that he would never advertise pan masala again. However, Akshay Kumar is proving unsuccessful in keeping his promise.

Your response over the past few days has impressed me greatly, even though I have not and will not support tobacco. I respect your sentiments regarding my association with the Cardamom brand. Also, I have decided to donate the ad fees charged for the advertisement.
Akshay had admitted his mistake
Akshay Kumar had also clarified the advertisement remaining on air even after terminating the contract. He said that he has some contract with the brand and the ad will continue to air for a certain time. The actor also said that from now on he will take his decisions thoughtfully.
