ALH MK III Aircraft: Indigenous light helicopter inducted into INS Utkrosh, maritime security will be strengthened

Indigenous Light Helicopter ALH Mk III aircraft has been formally inducted into INS Utkrosh today to strengthen maritime security. It was formally inducted today at Port Blair by Lt Gen Ajay Singh, Commander-in-Chief, Andaman, and Nicobar Command (Cincan).

 

 

The ALH Mk III aircraft is manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and marks a tremendous leap towards self-reliance in the field of military aircraft in line with the government's plan to promote a self-reliant India.

 

 

Big deal for BrahMos from the Philippines

At the same time, the Defense Ministry said today that India's BrahMos Aerospace Private Limited (BAPL) has signed a contract with the Department of National Defense of the Philippines for the supply of the Anti-Ship Missile System to the Philippines.

 

Atul Dinkar Rane, CEO, and MD, BrahMos Aerospace Limited said, "We are consolidating our partnership with the Philippines with a $37 million deal for BrahMos missiles, our flagship deal. Brahmos is important to them, though there will be many more deals. Many countries have shown interest in BrahMos.

 

The interest of many countries in Akash missile

Apart from this, Secretary, Department of Defense Research and Development and Chairman, DRDO, Dr. G Satheesh Reddy said that various countries have shown interest in Akash surface-to-air missiles, Astra missiles, anti-tank missiles, radars, torpedoes. He said that more systems are being developed which have advanced technology and also have export potential.
