The Maratha warrior king was born in 1630 in Shivneri, located in the Junnar tehsil of Pune district. On this occasion, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Pawar paid tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Shivneri Fort in Pune on his birth anniversary.
