Ambedkar's statue in Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday unveiled a 125-feet tall statue of BR Ambedkar here on the birth anniversary of the Constitution maker.

Flowers showered on Ambedkar's statue
Rao had recently held a meeting with ministers and officials regarding the inauguration of the giant Ambedkar statue, the inauguration of the new secretariat building complex and other issues. It was decided in the meeting that after offering floral tributes on Ambedkar's statue on Friday, flowers would be showered from the helicopter.
The statue will inspire the entire state
The Chief Minister had said that India's tallest statue of Ambedkar, which is located opposite the Buddha statue next to the state secretariat and next to the Telangana Martyrs' Memorial, would inspire people and the entire state administration every day.
He made it clear to the ministers and officials that Ambedkar's statue should be unveiled on a grand scale and the people of Telangana and the country celebrate the occasion in a big way.
It took at least two years to finalize technical and manufacturing measures since KCR decided to install Ambedkar's statue. He had praised 98-year-old sculptor Ram Vanji Sutar for taking such a huge effort. The government will invite and felicitate the Padma Bhushan awardee carpenter.
750 buses operated
Arrangements were made to ensure that over 35,000 people from all 119 constituencies could attend the Ambedkar statue unveiling meeting, with 300 people from each constituency, and 750 buses of the state-run Road Transport Corporation for the public. Operation done.
Food will be arranged for people coming to the assembly premises within a 50 km radius before reaching Hyderabad. An official release had earlier said that one lakh sweet packets, 1.50 lakh buttermilk packets, and an equal number of water packets were made available to the public.
