Following the Israeli-American attack on Iran, the entire Middle East has been placed under threat. A large number of flights worldwide, including to India, have been cancelled. Meanwhile, Tushar Gagerna, an Indian-origin professional stranded in the UAE due to the flight cancellations, shared his experience on LinkedIn.

Tushar Gagerna, an Indian-origin professional, shared in a LinkedIn post that he had been waiting at the airport for several hours because he had a flight to Delhi at 1 pm. However, after boarding the plane, passengers were asked to disembark at 3 am because Iran had attacked the UAE.

At the time of the attack...

Indian-origin Tushar Gagerna shared his experience on LinkedIn, writing, "When Iran attacked the UAE, there was an atmosphere of uncertainty on the plane. Conversations were hushed. Phones were ringing with news alerts. An eerie collective silence descended on the plane, and no one seemed to know what to do.

But what followed was truly remarkable. The UAE immediately took action. Within a short time of disembarking, a special waiting area was set up for all affected passengers. Everything was organized, calm, and clear."

Most importantly, emergency visas were immediately issued for tourists, allowing those without prior plans or hotel bookings to remain legally safe.

UAE Shows Humanity

Tushar Gagerna praised the UAE on LinkedIn, writing, "Just consider this. In the midst of a geopolitical crisis, when airspace was closed and flights were canceled, the UAE actively ensured that visitors who had no intention of staying, who hadn't booked a hotel, who were just passing through, were legally safe, protected, and had the necessary documents. No chaos, no bureaucracy. But immediate humanity."

He further wrote that while many countries would have abandoned travelers without information at such a time, the UAE made decisions, took careful steps, prepared lounges, provided food, and ensured safety. Tushar shared his experience at the end of the post, writing, "Waiting for my flight. Safe. Grateful. And truly proud to be here."
