Mumbai Police has arrested a person from Noida who had threatened to blow up the city with 400 kg of RDX on Anant Chaturdashi in Mumbai. With this, the whole case was revealed within 24 hours. The accused has been identified as Ashwini Kumar Supra, who is originally from Bihar. He has been living in Noida for the last five years. Ashwini used to call himself an astrologer.
It was said that human bombs had been planted in 34 vehicles.
According to the information received in this regard, threatening messages were received on the official WhatsApp number of Mumbai Traffic Police at around 2 pm on Thursday. The message claimed that human bombs have been planted in 34 vehicles in the city, in which 400 kg of RDX has been used.
It was said in the threat that these blasts would shake the whole of Mumbai, and about one crore people would be affected by it. The accused, calling himself a member of a Pakistan-based terrorist organization, Lashkar-e-Jihadi, also claimed that 14 terrorists had entered Mumbai. The message also used abusive language against the Mumbai Police.
In Noida, the accused was arrested.
After this, the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police traced the source of the threat and arrested Ashwini by conducting a raid in Noida. According to the police, the accused lived in Sector 79, Civitech Stadia Society. Now Ashwini is being brought from Noida to Mumbai, where he will be interrogated thoroughly so that the real motive behind the threat can be revealed.
