The cold is set to intensify in North India. The Meteorological Department has issued warnings for several parts of the country, warning of snowfall, heavy rain, and severe storms. Cyclone Montha has raised concerns in South and East India. According to the Meteorological Department, Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad, and Ghaziabad will remain partly cloudy for the next two to three days.

Cold weather intensifies in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh.

Cold has also arrived in Delhi NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Madhya Pradesh. The cold will intensify rapidly in the coming days. According to the latest update from the Indian Meteorological Department, Cyclone Montha has weakened, but its impact remains in central Chhattisgarh and surrounding areas.

Rainfall is expected in these districts of Uttar Pradesh

Today, cloud cover will prevail in parts of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, Punjab, and Rajasthan. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain alerts are in place for districts like Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Mau in Uttar Pradesh on November 1st. The effects of Cyclone Montha, which originated in the Bay of Bengal, are already being felt in Bihar. Several districts are under warning for strong winds and heavy rain.

The IMD said another weather system, a depression over the east-central Arabian Sea, has been slowly moving northward at a speed of about 3 km per hour for the past six hours. Rainfall is expected to increase over eastern and central India as the deep depression over southern Chhattisgarh moves northward.

Rainfall alert in Gujarat

This system is expected to bring light to moderate rain, with heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places, to Gujarat, Saurashtra, and Kutch regions. The IMD has forecast heavy rain and thunderstorms, accompanied by strong winds, across the Gujarat region starting November 1st for the next few days.

Saurashtra and Kutch are expected to be among the worst-affected areas, with heavy rainfall possible. The rain is likely to spread across Gujarat, and thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and strong winds are likely to continue until at least November 2nd.

Alert for Northeast India

The IMD has forecast light to moderate rain and thundershowers over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya, extending to Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura by November 1. During this period, moist winds from the Bay of Bengal, combined with existing local weather systems, may cause isolated heavy rainfall in the region. Thunderstorms and lightning are also likely in early November.
