Apple has officially announced iOS 17, the next big operating system for iPhones, at its annual developer's conference WWDC 2023. Let us know what new features are available in iOS 17.

Apple announced iOS 17

iPhones running iOS 17 can send video voicemails when they receive a FaceTime call. The company has added the Name Drop feature, with the help of which you will be able to share content very easily by bringing your iPhone close to a user's iPhone. To use this feature, you just have to bring your phone close to the other person's phone. In the iOS 17 update, you can now just say "Siri" instead of Hey Siri.

You will be able to create albums in the Photos app

The new update allows iPhone users to create pet albums in the Photos app. On top of that, iOS 17 also has an improved auto-correct algorithm. Similarly, Contact Posters is another new feature of iOS 17, which allows users to create customizable contact posters with colorful textual elements and profile pictures.

Found the Journal app and standby mode

Other highlights of iOS 17 are the new Journal app and standby mode, where a docked iPhone doubles as a bedside screen and displays images, a calendar, a clock, and live activity. Messages have got a lot of new features, including support for live stickers and Apple Maps can now work in offline mode as well.

got namedrop feature

The iOS 17 developers beta will be available to developers and the public starting today. Apple will make the public beta live very soon. Users can now bump two iPhones or Apple Watches together to share music, the Internet, or other details with each other, a process called a "Namedrop."

Will be able to customize the call screen

In the Phone app, users now have the option to customize their call screen. They can select different fonts, and use Memoji (personal emoji). It allows users to personalize their call screen and give a different design to the different contacts they call.

In addition, a new feature called Live Voicemail has been added. During a FaceTime call, if someone doesn't answer, you can now send a video message to them.
