In the wake of the ongoing border dispute with China over LAC in East Ladakh, Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Narwane gave a strong message to the dragon saying that we are committed to resolve the problem through dialogue and political measures and have someone test our moderation Should not try. During his address at the parade ground in Delhi Cantt, Army Chief Narwane said that India has given a befitting reply to Chinese efforts to unilaterally change the status quo along the Line of Actual Control. Earlier on Thursday, Army Chief General MM Narwane had said that the Indian Army would stand firm against any attempt to 'unilaterally change the status quo' on the borders and that its willingness for peace should not be seen as a weakness needed. He also said that the army has been able to provide a quick and decisive response to the enemies' plot and at the same time it has also prevented the escalation of the military standoff in eastern Ladakh.
Referring to cross-border terrorism from Pakistan, the army chief said that the army would not hesitate to attack the source of terrorism itself to protect India's interests. General Narwane said that he was confident that the military character of the army, based on secular fabric, strong discipline, and efficient professional style, would continue to give strength to the force in fulfilling the aspirations of a rising India.
