Aurangabad Accident: Explosion in the cylinder while making offerings for Chhath Puja in Aurangabad, Bihar, 34 injured

In the Aurangabad district of Bihar, an accident happened while making Prasad for Chhath Puja. About 40 people were injured in an explosion in an LPG cylinder in Shahganj Teli Mohalla of Aurangabad Nagar police station area on Saturday morning. These include civilians and policemen as well. The condition of several of the injured is said to be serious.

 

People who came for help also came into the grip

According to the information received, a fire broke out in the house of Anil Goswami due to a leak in the gas cylinder. On receiving this information, the people of the surrounding also reached the spot to help extinguish the fire. Meanwhile, the gas cylinder exploded. 34 civilians including five policemen were injured in the cylinder blast.

 

Treatment is done in Sadar Hospital

Injured policeman Mojim, Akhilesh Kumar, Jaglal Prasad, Saif Jawan Mukund Rawat, Preeti Kumari, Municipal Council Chairman candidate Anil Kumar alias Anil Odia, owner of Gaya Jewelers Pankaj Verma, Miraj Alam, Mohd. Bittu, Sonu Kumar, Monu Kumar, Mahendra Saw, RN Goswami, Sudarshan Kumar, Mohd. Naeem, Raj Kumar, Prabhat Kumar, Mohd. Shahnawaz, Shahnawaz Qureshi, Chhotu Alam, Mohd. Aslam, Mohd. Nejam, Amit Kumar, Sudarshan Kumar, Aditya Kumar, Rajiv Kumar, Dilip Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Mohd. Sabir, Mr. Arbaaz, and Chhotu Alam were treated at Sadar Hospital.

 

referred two dozen out

Two dozen seriously injured have been referred outside for better treatment. The condition of 14 is said to be very critical. Pankaj Verma and many others are being treated in a private hospital. It is said that the Prasad of Chhath was being prepared at Anil Goswami's house. The fire broke out due to a leak in the gas cylinder.

 

The police team had arrived to help

The residents of the mohalla arrived after the family members raised an alarm. On the information of the incident, the city police reached the police station. Tried to put out the fire but the fire could not be controlled. Eventually, the cylinder overheated and exploded. 34 people, including five policemen, were injured in the blast. The fire spread in the house has been brought under control by the firefighting team.
