Ambedkar Jayanti: 133rd birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, President Murmu-PM Modi took part in the celebrations

Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar's 133rd birth anniversary celebrations were organized on the lawns of Parliament House. President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi garlanded the statue of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar at the function. During this, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, UPA President Sonia Gandhi, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, former President Ramnath Kovind, and other leaders attended.

 

President Murmu congratulated the countrymen on Ambedkar Day. He said through Twitter that I heartily congratulate all the countrymen on the birth anniversary of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, the architect of the Constitution. A symbol of wisdom and a man of prodigious genius, Dr. Ambedkar worked as an educationist, legal expert, economist, politician, and social reformer even in adverse circumstances and spread knowledge to all for the welfare of the nation. His basic mantra 'Be educated, organize and struggle' will always be relevant to bring the underprivileged community into the mainstream of society.

 

Told the President that his unwavering faith in the rule of law and his commitment to socio-economic equality are the pillars of our democracy. On this occasion, let us all take a pledge to adopt the ideals and values of Dr. Ambedkar in our lives and move towards building an egalitarian and prosperous nation.
