Steve Smith was out on the bowling of Aamir Jamal after scoring 26 runs in 75 balls.
Australia started the second day at 187 runs for three wickets and lost the remaining seven wickets to score 131 runs. Marnus Labuschagne and Travis Head took the innings forward.
