IPL 2025: Kohli's RCB became champion for the first time, became the eighth team to win the trophy, defeated Punjab in the final

Royal Challengers Bangalore has won the IPL 2025 title. The wait of 18 seasons is over. Finally, Virat Kohli has also become the champion. RCB defeated Punjab by six runs in the final played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Batting first after losing the toss, RCB scored 190 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Punjab's team could only score 184 runs for seven wickets. RCB is the eighth team to become IPL champion. Earlier, Rajasthan Royals, Chennai Super Kings, Deccan Chargers, Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Titans, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Sunrisers Hyderabad teams have become champions.

Bengaluru batted first and scored 190 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs. Batting first after losing the toss, Bangalore had a bad start. Phil Salt was dismissed after scoring 16 runs in nine balls with the help of two fours and a six. He was dismissed by Jamieson. After this, Virat Kohli tried to handle the innings with Mayank Agarwal, but Mayank got out in pursuit of a big shot. He was out after scoring 24 runs in 18 balls with the help of two fours and a six. After this, Rajat Patidar went to the pavilion after scoring 26 runs in 16 balls. Virat shared a 36-run partnership with Livingstone. Virat became the victim of Azmatullah after scoring 43 runs in 35 balls with the help of three fours. Jitesh Sharma played a fiery innings, but in pursuit of a big shot, he was bowled by Vijaykumar. Jitesh scored 24 runs in 10 balls with the help of two fours and two sixes. Arshdeep took three wickets in the last over. He took the wickets of Romario Shepherd (17 runs) on the second ball of the 20th over, Krunal Pandya (4 runs) on the fourth ball, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (1 run). Arshdeep and Jamieson took three wickets each for Punjab. At the same time, Azmatullah Omarzai, Vijaykumar Vishak, and Yuzvendra Chahal got one wicket each.

Punjab's team, which came out to chase the target of 191 runs, had a good start. Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh shared a 43-run partnership. Priyansh was dismissed by Hazelwood after scoring 24 runs. Then Prabhsimran Singh was dismissed after scoring 26 runs in 22 balls. Shreyas Iyer's bat did not work in the final. He was dismissed after scoring one run. Josh Inglis batted well but returned to the pavilion after scoring 39 runs in 23 balls with the help of one four and four sixes. Nehal Wadhera was dismissed after scoring 15 runs and Marcus Stoinis was dismissed after scoring six runs. Azmatullah Omarzai could score only one run. Shashank played an innings of 61 runs in 30 balls with the help of three fours and six sixes, but it was not enough for victory. For Bangalore, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Krunal Pandya took two wickets each. Whereas, Yash Dayal, Josh Hazlewood, and Romario Shepherd got one wicket each.f
