Domestic sales down 32% for Maruti Suzuki

The company had sales of 1.38 lakh units in October 2021. In October 2020, this figure was 1.38 lakh units. That is, the overall sales of the company fell by 24.2% every year. The stunning growth of 30% year-on-year for Tata Motors

Tata Motors sold 67,829 units in October. In October last year, this figure was 52,132 units. That is, it got a growth of 30% yearly. During this period, the company gained 18% in commercial vehicle sales. It sold 33,674 units last month, up from 28,472 units a year ago. The company saw a 31% growth in domestic sales on account of the festive season. It sold 65,151 units against 49,669 units a year ago.

 

Bajaj Auto loses 22% in domestic sales

Overall sales of Bajaj stood at 4.39 lakh units in October. Whereas in October 2020, this figure was 5.12 lakh units. That is, it had to face a huge decline of 14% every year. The company's domestic sales declined by 22% during this period. The company had sold 2.81 lakh units in October 2020, which declined to 2.18 lakh units in October 2021. The company has also suffered a loss of 4% in exports. Last month, it exported a total of 2.21 lakh units. This figure was 2.31 lakh units a year ago.

 

32% growth in Ashok Leyland's heavy commercial vehicles

The company's total sales grew 11% year-on-year in October 2021. It sold 11,079 units last month. A year ago, this figure was 9,989 units. During this period, its medium and heavy commercial vehicle segment saw a growth of 32%. The company sold 6,078 units in this segment last month. A year ago, it had sold 4,588 units in October. However, the company has suffered a loss of 7% in the low commercial vehicle segment. It sold 5,001 units in this segment. A year ago this figure was 5,401 units.

 

Escort tractor demand decreased in the festive season

The festive season in the country started in October, but this season the demand for tractors dropped slightly on a year-on-year basis. Escort sold a total of 13,515 tractors in October 2021. This figure was 13,664 units a year ago. That is, the company sold 149 fewer tractors. It has incurred a loss of 1.1% every year.

 

TVS annual sales down 10%
