Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department has also issued a warning for other southern states. Monsoon rains will wreak havoc here in the coming two to three days. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain, storm, and lightning in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh on September 8 and 9. Apart from this, heavy to very heavy rain warning has been issued in Kerala, Lakshadweep, Telangana, and Coastal Andhra Pradesh from September 6 to 9.
Overnight rain increased trouble in Bangalore
The rain that started in Bangalore on Sunday is not taking its name to stop. Due to overnight rains, a flood-like situation arose here on Monday. Many roads and areas were submerged. Thereafter, boats and tractors had to be deployed for relief work. According to locals, several lakes, ponds, and drains in the city have been filled with water due to the rains and water has entered the houses in low-lying areas. Meanwhile, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said, "There has been heavy rain in Bengaluru. I have spoken to the Commissioner of Bengaluru Municipal Corporation and other officials. The officials have been directed to deploy two teams of SDRF in the Mahadevapura and Bommanahalli areas.
Two killed in Kerala floods
Due to floods in Kerala too, life has been badly affected. Here the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for four districts. So far two people have died due to the floods. According to the information, two people, including an eight-year-old child, died in the flash floods in the Palode area of Thiruvananthapuram. Both these people were trapped in the flood. According to the police, a group of 10 people had reached the Palod area to attend a wedding. During this, he tried to visit the Brimur forest area, but it was closed to the general public. So they went to see the waterfall. Due to the strong flow of water in the waterfall, they started flowing. Officials said eight people grabbed a rock for support, while two others were swept away. The bodies of both people have been recovered.
Red alert in four districts
The India Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, and Idukki districts for Tuesday. An orange alert has been issued in Alappuzha, Kottayam, and Ernakulam districts. Apart from this, an orange alert has also been issued for Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, and Kannur, where heavy rains are expected on September 7.
