The only Test match between Bangladesh and Afghanistan is being played in Mirpur. On the first day of the match, Afghanistan won the toss and decided to bowl first. Bangladesh scored 362 runs in the first innings at the end of the first day's play thanks to a brilliant century by star batsman Najmul Hossain Shanto. During this, only five wickets have been lost. Mehandi Hasan (43*) and Mushfiqur Rahman (41*) remain at the crease.

Afghanistan won the toss and decided to bowl first. At one time this decision was proving to be correct, when in the second over, Nijat Masood sent Zakir Hasan to the pavilion on a personal score of 1 run. Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Najmul Hussain Shanto took a toll on the Afghan bowlers. Mahmudul Hasan Roy returned to the pavilion after scoring 76 runs, but Shanto, standing at one end, continued to beat the Afghan bowlers.

Shanto scored his third century in Test cricket

Najmul Hussain Shanto played an inning of 146 runs in 175 balls with the help of 23 fours and 2 sixes. Shanto completed his third century in Test cricket. After the dismissal of Shanto, Momunal Haque was dismissed after scoring 15 runs. Captain Liton Das also could not do anything special and returned to the pavilion after scoring 9 runs. Nijat Masood took 2 wickets for Afghanistan. Zaheer Khan, Amir Hamza, and Rehmat Shah got one wicket each.

Bowlers looted a lot of runs

Please tell me that some prominent players of Bangladesh are not participating in the only Test match. Despite this, Bangladesh took a toll on the Afghanistan bowlers on the first day's play. Zaheer Khan gave 98 runs in 16 overs. At the same time, Amir Hamza looted 85 runs in 23 overs. Nijat Masood spent 67 runs in 13 overs.
