Two IT engineers lost their lives in a Porsche car accident in Pune, Maharashtra. The car driver, a 17-year-old teenager, was drunk at the time of the incident, and on Saturday, the police arrested his mother for exchanging blood samples. Now to investigate the matter, the police on Monday collected blood samples of the teenager's mother for DNA testing. A crime branch official said, "We collected the woman's samples today and have sent them to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for DNA sampling."
Let us tell you that on the morning of May 19, the bike of two IT engineers hailing from Madhya Pradesh was hit by a Porsche car in the Kalyani Nagar area, and both died on the spot in the accident. The car was being driven by a drunk minor boy.
Two doctors and employees of Sassoon Hospital have also been arrested
In this case, the police arrested Dr. Ajay Tavare, head of the Forensic Medicine Department of Sassoon Hospital, and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Srihari Halnor along with another employee. They are accused of conspiring with the juvenile's parents in exchange for money to swap blood samples to evade alcohol detection tests. The juvenile's parents were earlier sent to police custody till June 5 by a local court.
Police engaged in the digital reconstruction of the accident site
A senior officer said that we are recording statements of key witnesses, collecting crucial evidence, as well as digitally reconstructing the accident site to present it in court. Our main plan is to appoint a special counsel, file a chargesheet soon, and run the case in a fast-track court to ensure speedy punishment. One chargesheet will be filed against the juvenile in the Juvenile Justice Board and the other in a regular court. It will be related to the swapping of blood samples and incarceration of the car driver juvenile.
Police have also arrested the juvenile's father and grandfather
According to sources, the police may seek further extension of the juvenile's stay in the observation home when the initial period ends on June 5. In this case, the police have also arrested the father and grandfather of the accused.
RTO submitted a report to Pune Police
The Regional Transport Office (RTO) has also sent its report on this case to the Pune Police. Pune Regional Transport Officer Sanjeev Bhor said that we have submitted our report related to the accident involving the Porsche car to the investigating officer of the case. However, he refused to give details. According to sources, the Porsche Taycan electric luxury car was imported by a dealer in Karnataka's capital Bangalore in March before being sent to Maharashtra for temporary registration. After the accident, representatives of the car manufacturer Porsche also inspected the car.
