6. The Bangladesh High Court on Thursday refused to issue a suo motu order to ban ISKCON's activities in the country. The decision came despite a petition from a Supreme Court lawyer and calls for such action from student groups. The court said that necessary action had already been taken in the matter. The court expressed hope that the government will remain vigilant in the protection of law and order, including atrocities on minorities, especially Hindus.
