Bangladesh Vs Ireland : Bangladesh in Paul Stirling's storm, Ireland did a big upset by winning the third T20

Thanks to the brilliant performance of Paul Stirling (77) and the bowlers, Ireland on Friday defeated Bangladesh by seven wickets in the third and final T20 International match with 36 balls to spare.

 

Bangladesh elected to bat first in Chattogram and the entire team was all out for 124 runs in 19.2 overs. In response, Ireland achieved the target by losing three wickets in 14 overs. Ireland registered their first win on the current Bangladesh tour. However, Bangladesh won the series of three T20 Internationals 2-1.

 

Sterling played a stormy innings

Chasing an easy target of 125 runs, Ireland got off to a blistering start by captain Paul Stirling. However, he did not get support from the other end and Ross Ader (7) was clean-bowled by Taskin Ahmed. After this, Shariful Islam got Lorcan Tucker (4) caught out by Liton Das. From here, Stirling brought the team close to victory by sharing a 68-run partnership for the third wicket with Harry Tector (14 *).

 

Sterling scored 77 runs in just 41 balls with the help of 10 fours and four sixes. Rishad Hossain ended Sterling's innings by getting caught by Shanto. Then Tector and Curtis Campher (16 *) won the team. Taskin Ahmed, Shariful Islam, and Rishad Hussain got one success each from Bangladesh.

 

Bangladeshi batsmen surrendered

Earlier, electing to bat after winning the toss, Bangladesh scored 124 runs with the help of Shamim Hossain's half-century. Bad start for the hosts. Liton Das (5) was caught by Mark Eder at the hands of Dockrell. By the powerplay, Bangladesh had lost four wickets on the score of 41 runs. Shamim Hussain played hard at one end but did not get support from the other end.

 

Bangladesh lost wickets at regular intervals and the entire team was all out for 124 runs in 19.2 overs. Mark Adder was the most successful bowler for Ireland, taking three wickets for 25 runs. Matthew Humphrey took two wickets. Fionn Hand, Harry Tector, Curtis Campher, Ben White, and Gareth Dalany got one success each. The only Test match will be played between Bangladesh and Ireland from 4th April.
