This time fireballs will rain from the sky.

The Meteorological Department (IMD) said that except for some areas of western and eastern India, most parts of the country will experience severe heat this time. The maximum temperature may remain much higher than normal.

IMD chief Mrityunjay Mohapatra said that the minimum temperature will also be higher than normal in most areas.

Mrityunjay Mohapatra said,

From April to June, most parts of north and eastern India, central India, and plains of northwestern India are likely to experience heat for two to four more days than normal.

The number of hot days may double.

Usually, India experiences heat for four to seven days from April to June. An IMD official had earlier said that the number of hot days in northwest India may double. These areas usually experience five to six hot days during the season.

Fire will rain in 16 states including UP-Bihar.

This year, severe heat wave will hit many states. The states which will experience above normal heat include Rajasthan, Gujarat, Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and northern parts of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

The whole of India will be in the grip of heat...

In April, maximum temperatures are likely to be above normal in most parts of India. However, some areas in the far southern and northwestern regions may have normal temperatures.

Mahapatra said that the minimum temperature will be above normal in most parts of the country, except for some places in the northwest and northeast, where the temperature may be normal or slightly below normal.
