While Bollywood's much-awaited film 'Housefull 5' is earning great money at the box office, on the other hand, its song 'Laal Pari' has come under controversy. A debate has erupted on social media regarding the choreography of this song. A dance content creator has made serious allegations about the famous hook step of the song, which the film's director Tarun Mansukhani has now clarified.
Accusation of copying dance step
A dancer and social media content creator Sandeep Brahman has claimed that the hook step used in the song 'Laal Pari' has been taken from one of his popular dance videos. He says that neither any permission was taken from him in this regard nor was he given any credit. He made these allegations against choreographer Remo D'Souza and the makers of the film.
Director gave reaction
After these allegations, director Tarun Mansukhani has given his reaction to this controversy for the first time. He told News 18 that he came to know the reality of this dance step after the controversy. He says that he had no intention of harming anyone or stealing anything intentionally. He also admitted that maybe someone from his team saw this move on social media and thought it was great and used it in the song.
'If I knew, I would have made Sandeep the choreographer'
Tarun also said that if he had known Sandeep beforehand, he would have made him a part of the choreography of this song. He reiterated that there was no conspiracy in the whole process and that whatever happened, happened unintentionally. The director apologized to Sandeep and said, 'If he feels that injustice has been done to him, then we are very sorry for it.'
The film has a bumper opening at the box office.
While on the one hand, this controversy is affecting the image of the film, the earnings graph of Housefull 5 is continuously going up. This multi-starrer film of Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh, and Abhishek Bachchan has crossed the figure of Rs 100 crore in just four days of its release. On Wednesday, the film earned Rs 8 crore, taking its total domestic collection to Rs 119.75 crore.
Users' reactions on social media
Social media is divided into two parts on the controversy over the song. Some users support Sandeep Brahman and demand justice for him, while some believe that such things happen often in the film industry and it is not necessary that copying is done intentionally every time.
