The dilapidated two-story kutcha house collapsed at around 11.30 pm in Mohalla Roza Arjan behind the Badi Masjid of the city's Kotwali area. In which Chandni (18), Shanno (55), Ghiyasuddin (17), Mohammad Alauddin (19), Hera (10) and Sneha (12), Sanjeeda (37), Mohammad Kaif (8), Misbah (18), and neighboring Azimullah (68) was buried. The local people and the district administration rescued the trapped people and took them to the district hospital in injured condition. Where the doctors declared serious daughter Jamaluddin, Azimullah son Katwaru, Mohammad Kaif son Jamaluddin, Mohammad Safe son Jamaluddin, and Miswah daughter Jamaluddin dead. Other injured are being treated at the district hospital. After getting information about the incident, District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma and Superintendent of Police Ajay Kumar Sahni reached the spot and took all of them to the district hospital while conducting relief and rescue work.

The relief and rescue operations continued even after midnight as many people were buried in the night. The entire relief operation is going on under the supervision of the administrative officers. In the fear of people being trapped, relief and rescue workers are taking steps carefully on the debris. According to administrative officials, the operation will be ended only after there is complete satisfaction after midnight.
